A Day of Challenges in Danasan Eco Adventure Park Cebu

The adventurer in me got so excited when I read about the activities that Danasan Eco Adventure Park offers. I visited with my brother on a Monday when we were the only guests when we arrived.

We owned the place. There were no other guests around.

We availed the Day Use Package II which includes a roundtrip transfer from Danao but we just added a one-time payment of P500 for the van to pick us up from Parkmall Cebu at 7 am.

Day Use Packages offered to us during our visit.

We had the van to ourselves so if other people traveled with us, splitting the one-time payment of P500 for convenience would have made the ride from Cebu City to Danasan Eco Adventure Park cheaper.

Our Day Use Package II includes 2 green passes and 1 yellow pass. We could choose from the list below offered to us.

I planned to do the Tyrolean, Rappelling, 3 Levels of Waterfalls and Trekking activity but it wasn’t offered that day so my slippers will have to bear with me on the activities available.

We chose to do the Twin Tower Adventure which included a 60-ft to 120-ft wall climb, a high cable traverse, and a 60-ft rappel back to the ground.

Danasan Eco Park Wall Climbing
Will you dare climb that 120-ft high wall?

This was an instant upper body strength workout for me on slippers and reaching that 60-ft marker in the middle with the wind and the view as I got higher up was no joke.

I didn’t continue to the 120-ft marker at the top because I was wearing slippers and it was windy. This may sound like an excuse but yes, I was also afraid. Haha

Danasan Eco Park Wall Climbing
I climbed that wall up to the 60-ft marker on slippers!

If I ever get to do it again, I’ll be wearing shoes and I will challenge myself to reach the 120-ft marker. It will be tough and really challenging!

This adventure made me do my highest wall climb so far. The height and the wind made me really nervous.

After a relieving stop at the 60-ft marker, I had to cross to the other tower which is 150 feet (46 meters) far through the cable.

Danasan Eco Park Wall Climbing
Finally reached the 60-ft marker.

Traversing the wobbly, not-so-thick cable with the wind very high up with slippers on was not easy either.

Danasan Eco Park High Cable Traverse
Next, I did the High Cable Traverse, still on slippers!

Reaching the other tower and rappelling back to the ground had me heave a heavy sigh of relief.

Danasan Eco Park Rappelling
Next and finally, I rappelled back to the ground.

Imagine doing all those on slippers!

Those were our 2 Green Passes down. We chose to consume our Yellow Pass for Wakeboarding.

Danasan Eco Park Wakeboarding
Are you up for wakeboarding?

We owned the wakeboarding area we were the only ones doing it that time. It was my first time to do wakeboarding. I was more worried about the dirty, murky water than how I will get my bearings to smoothly cruise without losing my balance.

I’m pretty sure I will be unconsciously drinking some of that contaminated water later as I struggle. Yikes!

Danasan Eco Park Wakeboarding
That’s me struggling to balance for a smooth stop. Hahaha

It was fun and exhausting at the same time. It was an instant workout for our arms and core as the controller was teasing us by subtly increasing the speed at times.

I think we did improve our arm and core strengths as we had a physically and mentally challenging day of wall climbing, cable traversing, rappelling, and wakeboarding.

I learned to cruise smoothly, too! Does that posture look like smooth-cruising? Haha

The activity areas were significantly far from each other on rough terrains that we had to be transported from the receiving area to the different areas by a heavy-duty all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

We learned very early to find a seat where we can get a really stable grip to avoid getting thrown out like a cannon ball as we rode around with their ATV.

Danasan Eco Park High Cable Traverse
The wind better stop making the cables wobbly. Halfway there!

The wooden restaurant at Danasan Eco Adventure Park gave us a good rest as we ate and we were already on our way back to Cebu City very early in the afternoon but there was already a heavy traffic.

Paying for the roundtrip van ride to take us all the way to Parkmall Cebu was a good decision. We just conveniently rested and slept the traffic away with the van all for ourselves.

Danasan Eco Adventure Park Wakeboarding
Let’s get started!

Danasan Eco Park made me experience my first wakeboarding, my highest wallclimb, and my first high cable traverse with just slippers on!

It was a good and challenging day. If I ever get to go back, I am so doing the Tyrolean, Rappeling, 3 Levels of Waterfalls and Trekking activity with friends. It will be more fun when done with friends.

Hello great blog! Does running a blog like this take a great deal of work?
I have very little expertise in computer programming but I had been hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyways, should you have
any suggestions or techniques for new blog owners please share.
I know this is off subject nevertheless I simply needed to ask.
    Thanks a lot!
