Walk through the Royal Mile all the way through the Old Town and New Town and enjoy Edinburgh from the top at Arthur’s Seat, Calton Hill, and Edinburgh Castle when you visit Edinburgh in Scotland!

Arthur’s Seat

I have always loved the mountains and overlooking views so I made sure to visit Arthur’s Seat first thing and take the chance to witness the sunrise!

The view and the sun was so beautiful and worth the very windy and not so easy climb!

Calton Hill

A short climb to Edinburgh’s UNESCO World Heritage Site in Calton Hill gives a really good overlooking view of Edinburgh as well!

Visit Edinburgh Castle for another overlooking view and what has once been a military fortress, royal residence and prison of war.

Edinburgh is such a beautiful city which gives an experience of both the old and the new, history and culture, and the mountains and the ocean. What a treat for someone like me who loves good overlooking views!

Such a beautiful overlooking view from Arthur’s Seat!

Needless to say, I would be very happy to go back to Edinburgh to experience more of the city and Scotland especially Loch Ness, Glencoe, and the Highlands.

Tell me what you think of Scotland! 🙂
